The cartridges listed below will fit standard filter housings made for 2.5" x 9.75" (also commonly called 2.5" x 10" or just 10") replacement cartridges. This is the most common filter cartridge size made.
Carbon Block Filters
Carbon blocks are generally considered the best filters available for chemical reduction and taste/odor improvement. Some have other properties, like lead removal and cyst reduction, engineered into them.

With one exception, cartridges in this section are Axial Flow. This section includes both granular carbon filters, KDF/carbon filters, and specialty media filters for many purposes. In axial cartridges, water enters the bottom of the cartridge and exits at the top.

Centaur Carbon, KDF 85 |
A high quality nitrate reduction cartridge containing high capacity nitrate selective anion exchange resin. It can be regenerated to some degree with salt water, using the same method as with our softening cartridges. A cartridge this size will typically remove 5000 ppm / gallon (meaning, for example, if you have 10 parts per million nitrates in your water, you should change or regenerate it at about 750 gallons). Performance can vary considerably according to flow rate and other water constituents.
